ANHS Deusi Bhailo Program 2026
Celebrating Tihar, Connecting Generations, and Giving Back
Tihar, Nepal’s beloved festival of lights, is a celebration of family, gratitude, and togetherness. Following Dashain, it fills homes with glowing lamps, colorful decorations, and the joyful sounds of Deusi and Bhailo. Among its most meaningful traditions is Bhai Tika, which honors the special bond between brothers and sisters through tika, blessings, and wishes for health, happiness, and prosperity.
Deusi and Bhailo are at the heart of Tihar’s festive spirit. Traditionally performed as groups visit homes to sing, dance, and offer blessings, these cherished customs bring neighbors, friends, and families together. The familiar calls of “Deusi Re!” and “Bhailo!” connect generations through the shared joy of Nepali culture.
As one of ANHS’s signature annual programs, the Deusi Bhailo celebration carries this tradition forward within the Nepali American community. For 2026, ANHS warmly welcomes community members of all ages to participate, reconnect with our heritage, and create lasting memories. The program also offers younger generations an opportunity to experience the traditions that make Tihar so special.
Beyond the festivities, Deusi Bhailo is an opportunity to give back. Funds raised through the program help support the ANHS Academy and ANHS’s charitable initiatives. Every contribution helps turn the joy of celebration into meaningful support for our community.
Join us for ANHS Deusi Bhailo 2026 as we celebrate our heritage, strengthen our connections, and share the light and generosity of Tihar.
Happy Tihar!
